雙城今天(5日)克服比賽前段4分落後，最後9局上靠著對手火車過山洞失誤送禮，一口氣吃下4分大局以8比4擊敗紅襪。
打完前4局0比4落後，第5局雙城Torri Hunter先扛3分砲拉近差距，第6局再拿1分追平戰局。
9局上面對紅襪終結者上原浩治，雙城Brian Dozier、Hunter連續安打攻占一二壘，Joe Mauer突襲短打點成捕手前滾地球，傳向三壘時Pablo Sandoval發生火車過山洞接球失誤。
雙城把握機會安打、高飛犧牲打接著來，第9局吃下4分大局奠定勝基，終場以8比4贏球。
談到對手「功夫熊貓」Sandoval的關鍵失誤，Hunter說：「這絕對不是預料之中的事情，我認為也沒人會猜到Joe Mauer短打，他讓對手措手不及。」
Sandoval則說：「我竭盡所能把球擋下來，但球還是穿過我手套下方了」
紅襪全場發生3次失誤，總教練John Farrell說：「這是很糟糕的球賽表現。」
